Have you ever wondered what it’s like to fly like the President? You can now experience the presidential treatment first-hand at the national exhibition of Air Force One. With the red carpet rolled out and secret service on stand-by “The Flying White House” is waiting for you and your family at National Harbor, Maryland’s 300-acre waterfront development along the Potomac River. This icon of American values, democracy and power is breathtaking and an exact replica to the real plane. Now, American families and tourists alike can literally step inside the most prestigious aircraft on the planet. Air Force One is here for a limited time, so make plans to visit the Air Force One Experience before it takes off!
Not only will you see an exact replica of Air Force One, you’ll also encounter a theatrical experience, interactive kiosks, flight simulators and displays containing genuine Air Force One and secret service memorabilia. With the flight simulator experience the thrill of flight of a jumbo 747 and even attempt to line up at the nose for a mid-air refueling session. You’ll even participate in a presidential motorcade- a genuine presidential limousine and two presidential town cars that visitors can climb inside for family photo opportunities. Every customer will have the opportunity to take the iconic photo that every president has taken boarding the plane and waving to the public.
Air Force One Experience is also available for private events, including corporate events, educational programming and special occasions.
To become fully immersed in this exhibit and the virtual tour you will need two things: a cellphone and headphones. Take a mobile tour guided by Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Howie Franklin, Air Force One’s head flight attendant for 18 years. He will take you through the entire plane, telling you stories of America’s history and showing you items of significance along the way. This family-friendly experience is a perfect way to get even the youngest patriots excited and interested in America’s democracy.
